2009-08-02: Is now available the volume The Rooftile and Brickworks Factory of N. & S. Tsalapatas (1917-1978), authored and edited by Yannis Antoniou. The book presents the Tsalapatas family’s entrepreneurial activity in Volos within the wider context of the town’s industrial production, as well as the history of tile- and brick- making in Modern Greece. The factory’s structure and way of functioning are also analyzed, as well as on the use of bricks in the masonry work of Modern Greek architecture. Read more..
