2009-06-29: The highly successful exhibition on «The Journey: the Greek American Dream», held since March 20 at the Rooftile and Brickworks Museum N. & S. Tsalapatas, is coming to its close on June 29, 2009 and will be crowned by a round-table debate (in Greek) organized at 8pm by PIOP to hail the event. Headed by director Maria Iliou, the discussion on «Journey and home longing: then and now», will allow the speakers and public to explore various facets of emigration, immigration and the reception, incorporation and interaction with the «new homelands», as well as the relatively recent phenomenon of economic migrants. The round table will be preceded by the last showing of Ms Iliou's prize-winning documentary at 6:30pm and will be followed by folk dancing of the «ballos of Bournova» by the young people's troupe of «Iones», the local cultural centre of the Greeks of Asia Minor.
