12/05/2008: The Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation has recently won the Best Education Documentary Prize – Vouli Tileorasi Prize for the production of the movie “Master Marble-Workers: recording traditional techniques for the Museum of Marble Crafts at Pyrgos on Tinos”.
The prize was awarded during the 7th International Meeting of Archaeological Film of the Mediterranean Area “AGON” organised by the journal Archaeology and Arts (Athens, May 6 – 11, 2008).
The movie (duration: 31 min) was especially created for the permanent museum exhibition as a medium to interconnect the practices that take place on the quarry and the marble-craft workshop. The museum opening is scheduled on May 31, 2008.

The movie was sponsored by the 3rd EU Structural and Cohesion Fund CFP –2000-2006 South Aegean Regional Operational Programme.
