The Library of the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation, as it has been developed after the unification of its two Libraries (the Central Library of PIOP and the Specialized Library of the Historical Archives Department of PIOP) has approximately 27.000 volumes of Greek and foreign books and journals. The Library covers topics of industrial archaeology, history of technology and of various productive branches, museology, folklore and cultural material, ethnology and anthropology, as well as new technologies concerning cultural research. It also focuses on finance, banking, economics, management, as well as agricultural economics, agricultural policy and geotechnical engineering.

The Library is organized according to the Greek National Documentation Centre's Library Automation System ÁÂÅÊÔ 5.6. The books are classified according to the DEWEY decimal system and are catalogued according to the AACR2 Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules.

It is possible to consult the bibliographic information contained in the library's collections via the "ARGO" information platform (Greek National Documentation Centre).

The library is open to the public on working days from 09.00 - 15.00.
It is not open on official holidays and from August 1st-31st.
