This illustrated volume contains the proceedings of the First Three-day Working Meeting, organised by the ETBA Cultural Foundation in Patras, in October 1988, and sponsored by the Achaia Prefecture. It includes papers by Greek participants contained in seven units on topics about pre-industrial ship-building, metal techniques, sericulture in Soufli, building, railway history, energy sources and various theoretical approaches.
