Piop's New Publication is now available

03Feb.2009: Recently published From the cocoon to silk: sericulture-silk manufacture, a book on the cottage-industry procedure of producing silk, from the pre-industrial era to the present, in the region of Soufli (Thrace), is now available. The alternation of concise and intelligible texts with old and new photographs documenting the phases of sericulture and the stages of silk manufacturing give the book a pedagogical and vulgarizing dimension, making it also useful as a teaching tool.


The Foundation’s publications are available from all the bookshops.
