Conference on Industrial Heritage at the Rooftile and Brickworks Museum

2010-12-12: Within the framework of strengthening and supporting in deeds, and not words alone, actions that are at the core of the study and conservation of our industrial heritage, the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation hosted the two-day conference of the Greek Section of TICCIH (The International Committee for the Conservation of Industrial Heritage) titled "Industrial heritage: from recording to rehabilitating" on the premises of the Rooftile and Brickworks Museum N. & S. Tsalapatas in Volos. The event was held on December 10-12 and was supported and co-organized with the Technical Chamber of Thessaly and the University of Thessaly.


In parallel, an exhibition was organized in the Hoffmann kiln of the work of students from three Schools of Architecture relating to industrial buildings. The conference's proceedings were attended by Eusebi Casanelles, former chairman of TICCIH and director of the Museum Network of Catalonia mNACTEC.
