The industrial buildings of Volos: New PIOP edition

2010-04-01: The volume The industrial buildings of Volos by Kostas Adamakis is now available (in Greek only); in it, the author examines the architectural industrial heritage of Volos and its evolution between the mid-19th century and the 1960s and 1970s. It is over this period that an important number of factory units are founded and operate within the town's urban tissue. The 53 industrial complexes recorded in this volume are accompanied by historical data, their architectural documentation and -wherever pertinent- their new uses, together with rich photographic material and architectural plans.
