Celebrating the European Artistic Craft Days in the Museum of the Olive and Greek Olive Oil
7.4.2024

On the occasion of this year's European Artistic Craft Days (2-7/4) and in the framework of the photography exhibition titled “Foodprint”, the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation (PIOP) organises a crafts workshop for children aged 8 to 15 on Sunday 7 April 2024 (11:00-14:00) in the Museum of the Olive and Greek Olive Oil.

Using pieces of old fabrics and other recyclable materials under the guidance of archaeologist Voula Kalliodi, our young friends will make handmade decorative fruits and vegetables drawing inspiration from the theme of the photography exhibition, while they will also have the opportunity to discuss the environmental consequences of modern nutrition and the need to protect the environment.

The European Artistic Craft Days (www.journeesdesmetiersdart.fr) have been established as an annual springtime institution in many European countries since 2002. For the 2024 edition, the theme is “Little fingers, expert hands”.

Participation and materials are free of charge. Registration is required.

For more information and reservations, you can contact the Museum at the telephone number 27310 89315 (daily except Tuesday, 10:00-18:00).
