Celebrating the European Artistic Craft Days in the Silk Museum
3.4.2024
6.4.2024

On the occasion of this year's European Artistic Craft Days (2-7/4) and in the framework of the temporary exhibition titled "Morus", the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation (PIOP) organises creative workshops for young and old in the Silk Museum in Soufli.

Initially, participants will have the opportunity to have a guided tour of the temporary exhibition and then, guided by the artists Hanna Norrna, Irini Gkonou and Kleopatra Tsali, they will weave their own cocoon by creating silk yarns, which they will dye in a natural way. Finally, young and old alike will use yarn as a medium for artistic expression and create their own small works of art.

The workshops will take place on the following dates: 3 April for disabled persons in groups (18:00), 4 & 5 April for primary and minority schools (9:30 & 11:00), 6 April for the general public (17:30).

The European Artistic Craft Days (www.journeesdesmetiersdart.fr) have been established as an annual springtime institution in many European countries since 2002. For the 2024 edition, the theme is “Little fingers, expert hands”.

Participation and materials are free of charge. Registration is required.

For more information and reservations, you can contact the Museum at the telephone number 25540 23700 (daily except Tuesday, 10:00-18:00).
