This volume presents the papers of the Sixth Three-day Working Meeting on the bee and its products, organised by the ETBA Cultural Foundation, the Nikiti Community in Chalkidiki and the Apiarian Co- operative of Nikiti “Sithon”, in Nikiti, in September 1996. Forty-two archaeologists, historians, classical scholars, linguists, agronomists, chemists, economists and beekeepers presented their studies, mainly focusing on the historical – archaeological and ethnographical aspects of this topic.
