Celebrating the European Artistic Craft Days in the Museum of the Industrial Olive-Oil Production of Lesvos
3.4.2024

On the occasion of this year's European Artistic Craft Days (2-7/4) and the World Autism Awareness Day (2/4), the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation (PIOP) organises a pottery workshop, for a special audience on Wednesday 3 April 2024 (11:00) in the Museum of the Industrial Olive-Oil Production of Lesvos.

Initially, participants will have the opportunity to have a guided tour of the temporary exhibition "1922" which is currently on display at the Museum. Then, drawing inspiration from exhibits such as tableware used in Smyrna, they will learn about the art of pottery and, under the guidance of ceramicist Magdalini Vasila, they will create ceramic dishes from red clay.

The European Artistic Craft Days (www.journeesdesmetiersdart.fr) have been established as an annual springtime institution in many European countries since 2002. For the 2024 edition, the theme is “Little fingers, expert hands”.

Participation and materials are free of charge. Registration is required.

For more information and reservations, you can contact the Museum at the telephone number 22530 32300 (daily except Tuesday, 10:00-18:00).
